Venus Flytraps in the news

I saw this posted on Fox News yesterday. This has been my favorite plant since childhood days. It is sad to see them decline to this point. My granddaughter came home from school (3rd grade) today talking about flytraps and other carnivorous plants. I hope the sample they showed was not poached.

Yeah, this story was in our local paper (Wilmington Morning Star) as well. I've met Laura Gadd and can tell you she has her hands full! As does anyone trying to preserve and protect these remarkable plants. Many thanks for posting this Butch!

It's one of the main reasons I've revisited the Green Swamp over and over again...to photograph a dying ecosystem and preserve it in pictures.
