KEH (www.keh.com have 3 used 28-135's in stock, prices aranging from $364 to $389. You are looking for the IS lens, right?

I think this is a great lens, my only concern would be lack of wide angle coverage. Given the 1.5 or thereabouts crop factor of the Rebel, the 35mm equivalent of this lens at the wide end would be 42mm. At the other end, or course, you'd get over 200mm telephoto equivalence.
