Another old film shot from a few years back. Shot this at Bosque, from the car using a 500mm with 1.4x TC, no beanbag or tripod. Been trying to get an Easterm Meadowlark every since with no luck.

What a colorful bird and a great shot. The Bosque del Apache is known for the larger birds but you never know what you find as you drive on the loops with the car certainly the best blind for the smaller birds. :)
Very nice. I like the soft forground and backgaround. Gives the image an nice look.

Another great film shot, Robert. I like the color and overall composition.
Like you, I never see these near my property, but I am heavily wooded and I am sure that is the biggest reason. I grew up in the mountains of Southwest Virginia and they were everywhere there. Maybe I should check that area out again.
