Drove out to the north side of the inlet yesterday. There are numerous oyster catchers still hanging out on the beach and probably 30 skimmers working the shoreline just east of the bridge. Most of the oyster catchers a banded but there are a few that are not.
Ill be heading out to Pea Island in the morning, trying to cath a good morning of photography before this line of hurricanes / tropical storms comes ashore. Weather permitting I'll be heading out to the inlet again in the afternoon. If anyone is interested in hitting up the beach tomorow but doesnt have 4x4, give me a call - 757-377-4662
