Hello Everyone! Hope you are all doing well. Here are the details of our September meeting:
Event: Carolinas' Nature Photographers Association - Charlotte Region - September Monthly Meeting
Date: Wednesday, September 12
Time: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. (note that the Committee Chairs and Members can use the 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. timeframe for planning for 2008)
Location: Dowd YMCA, 500 East Morehead Street, Charlotte, NC 28202 - 7th Floor, Advisor's Room
Presentation Topic: Favorite Locations
For those of you who are newer members, this meeting will get everyone involved. Basically, we would like everyone to bring information on their favorite location(s) to the meeting and be prepared to discuss them.
What should be included for each Location:
Name
Address
Hours of Operation
Website
Directions
Other things to include that would be helpful:
Contact Information
Costs (if any)
Best season to photograph
Sample photos taken there (print or digital)
Handouts with details to pass out (or can email me the details and I'll combine and distribute to the group)
We actually did this last year and it went very well.
Other things to note:
Don't worry if you think someone else will talk about a location - if you don't mention it, no one else may either and there may be new folks in attendance that have never been there before.
Definitely feel free to bring several locations.
Try to keep them to within a day's driving distance but if you have a spectacular one that's a little further away, that's cool too.
Last year’s Favorite Locations discussion was a lot of fun. Personally, I learned of several places I had never heard about before. Please let me know if you have any questions and I look forward to seeing you all soon! Thanks! :)DJGD
