Female Ruby Throated Hummingbird being threatened by another female at the feeder on our back deck in Lexington, SC. It is interesting to watch these little creatures interact with each other.

EOS 20D, ISO 800, 1/160 sec., f/29, Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8, with Sigma 2.0x teleconverter, zoomed to s456 mm, four Canon 550EX flash units manually set to 1/32 power and fired with a wireless transmitter on the camera hotshoe.

Don, you really do have a lot of great hummer images, you must have a quick trigger finger. At my feeder they do not wait around very long when a competitor comes into the area, they buzz around at high speeds chasing each other. A great subject well done here.
