Is anyone interested in joing me Sunday 7/13 to go to Draper Tract WMA outside of Rock Hill to photograph sunflowers?
The place has at least two large fields (football size) of sunflowers, a fishing pond and trails. I was there about 2 weeks ago and the sunflowers were about 3-4 feet high. There also were about a dozen dragonflies around the pond and a red tail hawk circling around the tree line.
I plan on going early (@ 7am -ish), we can meet somewhere and go from there. If you want to stay longer and are interested in photograhing historical re-enactments, there is historic Brattonsville about a mile or two down the road
(Battle of Huck's Defeat ).

Ok, Those who plan on joining me, lets meet at the SC Welcome center, southbound I-77 at @6:50 am.
Those who want to go another time or meet later, here are some directions.
Take I-77 south towards Rock Hill.
Take Exit 82 towards Historic Brattonsville (I think it is B)
Take a right at the end of the ramp and go straight @ 17 miles (you pass Winthrop and parts of town).
The road changes to McConnells/Hwy322 after leaving R.H.
Take a left onto Brattonsville Rd
About a half amile or so turn right onto Draper Rd (large sign for WMA)
Follow dirt road until it ends at a loop.
Take trails near canopy to the pond and a road which will lead you to the sunflowers.
