I'm interested in a bird photography photo trip to Central or South America this winter. If anyone has experience with a travel company or group they would recommend, I'd be appreciative.
Thanks.

Contact Lisa Crates (lcrates@yahoo.com) of the Charlotte Region. She is putting together a tour to Costa Rica.

I don't know if it's appropriate to "plug" one's own tour, but I have been leading photography workshops to Costa Rica for the past 3 years. My next trip is Nov. 29 through Dec. 9, 2007, and has been designed to take advantage of the best of my previous trips.

I have a link below, in my signature, to a page on my website that provides the details. Contact me at (dlc@dlcphoto.com) if you have questions.

Costa Rica is a phenomenal location, and I never tire of exploring the incredible biodiversity it contains.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for your prompt reply. I went with an Elderhostel birdwatcher group to Costa Rica in 2006, and enjoyed it very much. It was my first such experience, and I am hardly an experienced 'birder.'

I was the only one in the group travelling with heavy photo equipment, and realized it would have been even better for me if I were travelling with a photo oriented group.

I prefer to find a destination that would be a new experience for me. I will keep your information, and thanks again for your reply.

Absolutely Don, that's what these forums were set for so our members would be able to discuss things that interest them. We are working to get your workshop put into the workshop section here. (http://www.cnpa.org/workshops.php) We are hoping many of our professionals use it to promote their workshops.
