Spider at Beidler Audubon Center

Image taken from boardwalk at Beidler in spring 07. Spider about two inches long and very wary as dived into cypress knee opening when sensed danger and reappeared slowly. Taken with tripod mounted D2X and 200- 400 zoom and an off camera SB800 flash. ISO likey 400. Other settings not available.

Don, that's an impressive spider. How large was he?

Hi Robert, he was about 2 inches long - after he got used to me (he disappered once into the knee) he was very cooperative.

This is a beautiful specimen. I like the tone on tone coloration of the image. :)
