Zoom pre- meeting with Mary Roberts before outing to Riverbanks Zoo

ary Presson Roberts will lead our February outing to Riverbanks Zoo, located in Columbia, SC in February.
Tuesday, February 7 at 7:00 p.m., Mary will give a presentation via Zoom about zoo photography and a personal project she completed at Riverbanks Zoo. This presentation will be open to all members whether or not they choose to go on the outing. (Note: this will not take the place of the monthly Charlotte Region’s CNPA meeting, but rather be an optional added meeting.) A link for this optional meeting will be sent the week prior to Feb. 7.
The outing will take place Thursday, February 9 at 9:00 a.m.
All wishing to attend the outing should meet at the admission area of Riverbanks Zoo (500 Wildlife Parkway, Columbia, SC) at 8:55 on the morning of February 9.
We will photograph from 9:00 a.m. until noon.
At noon, all interested can leave the zoo to enjoy lunch at California Dreaming (401 Main St,
Columbia, SC).

Mary’s Bio
Mary Presson Roberts is a photographer, author, and educator living in the Carolinas. Mary received her Bachelor’s Degree from Winthrop University, Rock Hill, SC, and her Master’s Degree from the Citadel, Charleston, SC. Mary has been an educator in the Carolinas for more than three decades.
Mary was able to purchase her first serious camera using a gold coin her father gave her. She was immersed in art education throughout life by her mother. The camera became Mary’s primary tool for self-expression.
Eight years ago, Mary combined her passions for photography and education. She leads photography workshops, photo tours, and gives inspirational presentations of her photographic journey. Mary has a diverse interest in photographic subjects.

Mary has exhibited works in the United States and Internationally. She has been published in Our Magnificent Planet by Lenswork, Nature’s Best Photograhy International Awards, and FotoNostrum Magazine.
Photography has introduced Mary to people she would have never met, taken her to places she would have never experienced, and adventures she never would have attempted. It transformed her life.
